Please note, however, that the USB WL adapter is primarily designed for communication and therefore certain Hi-Res audio codes are not supported. Discover all the compatibility options in our matrix.
There is basic compatibility between the USB WL adapter and PHONUM. However, please note that when using Microsoft Teams®, certain functions such as mute are not supported. The USB WL adapter can also be used with Zoom, but the key commands on the PHONUM are not passed on to Zoom.
Developed primarily for communication, the following audio codecs are supported:
• The SBC audio codec is supported. • AAC, aptXTM, aptXTM HD, aptXTM Low Latency, aptXTM Adaptive, aptXTM audio, LHDC are not supported.
The USB WL adapter offers full compatibility between beyerdynamic SPACE / beyerdynamic SPACE MAX and Microsoft Teams®. As Zoom does not support the use of Bluetooth® dongles, certain functions such as pick up, hang up and mute are not supported.
In principle, this is possible when the third-party products use the standard Bluetooth® protocol. Whether functions such as hanging up or muting are supported regarding compatibility also depends on the third-party product. We cannot make a general statement here.
At https://byr.li/firmwareupdate the beyerdynamic Update Hub can be downloaded and installed on the laptop. This software is available for Windows and Mac. After a successful installation, simply connect the USB WL adapter to the laptop, start the beyerdynamic Update Hub and it will display whether a firmware update is available that should be installed on the device. A firmware update via app is currently not possible.
