beyerdynamic TG D35d: Professional drum kit miking at an attractive price

New at beyerdynamic: the professional TG D35d drum kit microphone completes the existing Tour Gear microphone series with another drum microphone.

The moving coil microphone is especially suitable for mounting on the snare and tom toms, but can also be used for other instruments with high sound pressure levels. The unrestricted beyerdynamic microphone designed for stage use delivers an impressive performance on drums such as conga, djembe and cajon, and also in front of a guitar amp speaker.

The matte black plastic housing with a perfectly protected basket with metal grille is extremely rugged and also robust enough to accidental hits from the drum sticks. The compact design of the TG D35d allows an optically unobtrusive mounting on the instrument, thanks to the supplied MKV 87 microphone clamp. The clamp construction is patented and allows for both fast and secure mounting of the TG D35d. The vibration behaviour and thus the sound of the drum shell is not influenced by the extraordinarily light microphone.

The dynamic capsule of the TG D35d has a supercardioid polar pattern and enthrals with an impressively powerful, clear and assertive sound, which also stays completely distortion-free even at high sound pressure levels. When mounted close to the instrument, the well metered proximity effect guarantees powerful reproduction even of very low frequencies. The narrow polar pattern ensures perfect channel separation as well as a clean sound, even on small stages.
The recommended retail price for the TG D35d is 89 EUR. The supplied M Bag storage case provides protection during transport. The professional TG D35d drum kit microphone is available separately or as part of the "TG Drum Set Pro S" and "TG Drum Set Pro M" Touring Gear Sets.

The TG D35d will be available for purchase from selected retailers and at www.beyerdynamic.com starting June 2015.

beyerdynamic will be presenting TG D35d for the first time from the 15th to 18th April 2015 at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany. (Hall 5.0, Stand C34).
