Heilbronn, December 2015: In line with the motto ‘Fit for the future’, the audio specialist from Heilbronn, Germany, has paved the way for the company’s successful further development and for expanding international activities.

The approach aims to build on beyerdynamic’s strengths and tap into new markets. With over 90 years’ experience in audio development and great expertise in premium products made in Germany, the company wants to focus on its customers’ needs even more than ever. Offering customised products to demanding buyers is the name of the game. At the same time, the global sales network should also be expanded and international brand awareness should be increased.

The new strategy is also reflected by three people:

As the newest managing director, Robert Winterhoff (50) is responsible for the Global Sales and Marketing division. He joined long-standing managing director Wolfgang Luckhardt (55) on the beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG senior management team on 1 November 2015, bringing with him extensive experience in international sales. Winterhoff worked for Harman International Industries for almost 20 years, where he held several managerial positions. Most recently he was responsible for emerging markets such as Brazil, China, India and Russia as director of global sales for emerging markets and BRIC countries. ‘I want to play a major role in making beyerdynamic products better known throughout the world and as highly regarded as they are in my eyes,’ the industry expert stated.

Sven Wilhelmsen (39) also knows the market like the back of his hand. Before joining the Heilbronn-based audio specialist on 1 October 2015, Wilhelmsen spent more than a decade in several managerial positions at Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG. As the new head of the headphones division and a member of the beyerdynamic management board, he wants to further drive the expansion of the company’s successful division. ‘I look forward to working together with my team to carry on beyerdynamic’s positive brand development in the headphones market and to offer new approaches in relevant areas,’ Wilhelmsen said.

Kamal Mahtani (35) is responsible for the company’s partners on the Asian market. He moved to beyerdynamic’s Singapore office on 1 December 2015 to assume the newly created role of director of sales and marketing for Asia Pacific. Prior to this, Mahtani was a successful member of the management team at Klotz Cable Ltd., where he gained pertinent experience in the audio industry – including through the development of sales and marketing strategies for prestigious brands such as Mackie, Fostex and Røde Microphones in the Asia-Pacific region.
