Heilbronn/Beijing, May 2012/TH: Wireless systems have been, and will continue to be victims of unpredictable frequency changes, possibly making costly equipment obsolete. German audio-specialist beyerdynamic is now launching a safe long-term alternative, the TG 1000 wireless system. With an impressive bandwidth of 320 MHz (470-790 MHz), it covers virtually the entire, globally usable UHF band for radio microphones, making it a very flexible system, which can be used in a wide variety of venues worldwide.
TG 1000 operates using 24-bit converters and proven Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) transmission technology, ensuring exceptional audio quality and stability. Its line of sight range exceeds 300 meters, and the dynamic range covers more than 120dB. Both are remarkable results.
At the heart of every digital wireless system lies the CODEC. A CODEC is an internal software capable of encoding or decoding the digital data signal. Instead of implementing one of the widely available standard CODECs, beyerdynamic developers came up with a proprietary solution, which stands out. The so-called "TriplePlay" CODEC combines very low 1,2ms latency, high error resilience and finest audio quality.
On top of that, the wireless transmission signal of TG 1000 features advanced digital encryption, which is an indispensable asset for meetings & conventions. Musicians will love TG1000’s new GenuineGuitar technology. The wide frequency response down to 20Hz and the crystal clear audio transmission even at highest amplitudes add to a transparent and intuitive gain structure that allows for a genuine 0dB setup. TG1000 is as close to the wireless cable as it gets – not only for guitarists.
A main focus of beyerdynamic's engineers is to ensure ease of use. Instead of multiple menus and a confusing array of buttons, TG 1000 features an intuitive "One Button" navigation system. All control elements are illuminated and can be operated in a dark environment as well. Moreover, TG 1000 is fitted with an XL-sized OLED display. This means highest contrast and crystal clear readability from all angles.
Another unique feature of TG 1000 is beyerdynamic's new "Chameleon" software. Its onboard webserver communicates with any device (PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone) and adapts to every operating environment (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android etc.), making it truly universal.
When it comes to the transmitters, beyerdynamic is able to rely on 88 years of microphone-building competence. TG 1000 comes with a choice of five interchangeable capsules, including dynamic and true condenser types, as well as the unique TG 90 ribbon. Both the handheld and pocket transmitters have been designed with ergonomics and user-friendliness in mind. Features range from a quick-change battery compartments to transmitter lock functionality (preventing accidental switch off).
TG 1000 will be available in September 2012.
