DVD Flight Tour 2009 to Hungary

Video Clip & Trailer Flight Tour 2009 with Picture Gallery Flight Tour 2009 to Hungary Since 2007 beyerdynamic organises a flight tour each year for customers and friends.

After having explored Scandinavia in 2007 and Morocco in 2008 Hungary and Austria were our next destinations in 2009. The number of the aircrafts was limited to 10 to keep the organisational work within a limit. During the flight tour the pilots had the opportunity to test the “Digital Adaptive Noise Reduction” of the HS 600 DANR, a pure headset demo could have been organised possibly easier.

The beyerdynamic Flight Tour 2009 started in Schwäbisch Hall, Baden-Württemberg.

On Monday, the 17th of August the participants arrived with 10 aircrafts from the Flight Design CT to the Cessna 210 Silver Eagle. We started with a guided tour through the factory in Heilbronn. The first destination for the day was the private Jakabszallas airfield in the flat Puszta area in Hungary. On Wednesday morning we flew to Budapest. Descent to runway 32 of Tököl (LHTL): In parallel with the Danube we turned our DA 40 TDI into the final approach of the former military airport, and in front of us, the megacity Budapest spread out. Our group of ten aircrafts had very little time, because in these days Tököl was in the hand of the Red Bull Air Race team! Around the pit lanes there were aircrafts of the so-called Flying Bulls for the entertainment programme, e.g. a B-25 bomber, a Cobra helicopter or the blue Let jet trainer of the Breitling team. In the evening the vibrating megacity Budapest received us with an air of a festive day.

After all, the next day was a national holiday. On that day several hundred thousand of people lined the banks of the Danube River. For a few hours we watched aerobatic flights of the entertainment and how a 737 Malev flew in a height of 300 ft over the Danube.

After this our next destination was Wiener Neustadt where the main plant of Diamond is found. On Friday morning we were given a guided tour of the aircraft plant by Sören Pedersen, Marketing and Sales Director. It is quite interesting, how modern aircrafts are built in series. After lunch we were in a hurry to reach Salzburg, because for the first time on our Flight Tour the weather turned bad. But we started according to plan and the flight was no problem for us. Two crews decided to chose another airport as their destination, because at Salzburg there were no places available in the hangar for the night and a thunderstorm was imminent. A place of excursions worth seeing is Hangar 7 in Salzburg, which is a round building completely glassed with the aircraft collection of the Red Bull owner. Most of the exhibits are able to fly and belong to the Flying Bulls we saw in Budapest, for example Alpha Jet, Bo 105, B-25 and many more. The aircrafts are maintained at Hangar 8 which is not open to the public, but was exclusively shown to the beyerdynamic Flight Tour Crews. The sight seeing tour through the centre of Salzburg and dinner in the evening was the last common event.

Now the time had come to draw the FORTIS flight chronograph, sponsored by the Swiss manufacturer for watches!
